Ach!

As much as I'd love to give you a perfect 10 on this submission... I feel you've stolen the song AND the exact same drawing style as the original artists chose for their own music video.

When I watch this flash I get this 'deja vu' feeling... but not in a good way.. In-fact, after watching this I went back to watch the original video by Sr. and Jr. just to see how clever and creative they are.

What you should do next time is try to find a way to stray from your influences and create something original without directly copying it. Good luck and please don't take this personally. It's just constructive criticism ;)

rtil responds:

this cartoon is a gift to someone and is in no way meant to be a stunningly original and awe-inspiring piece.

please look at my other work before assuming all i do is copy other people's work. in fact, there are only 4 or 5 small pieces of this cartoon i 'copied'. and retro pixel style drawing was not invented by the animators of the original video.

Funny Crap

Honestly I would have given this a 10 if the entire flash was just this:

"Hey lady hows it goin'? Nah I'm just yankin' your chain I don't give a shit"

Sweet and simple.

but it still got a chuckle out of me. Thanks!

Snubby responds:

joo is welcome :)

Oh snap

Didn't even see this one, lol good job man we used the same song!

Mine took 3 years however :( Oh well, you def. had more night at the Roxbury references than I did! (I've never seen that movie yet...)

MetalDart responds:

lol I saw your flash in the portal. I was just thinking "Great minds think alike!" :D
Shame to hear yours took three years. :( It really shows, and I'm so glad yours made Daily Feature. AWESOME MAN!!! :D

And the Roxbury references, yeah, its basically the whole SNL skit and movie, tightly wrapped into an animation.

AlmightyHans responds:

this is a historical event that happened in Chicago of 1929 ON Valentin'e Day. i don't mean to sound like an asshole but why don't people read the "HISTORY" at the loading screen?

I LOVE THIS SONG

But this video just doesnt do it for me.... Bet it would be pretty good for people on acid trips however.

Hoogiman responds:

Everyone's said that.

Im so confused...

What the hell was that?

Wasamonster responds:

Yea, its a little random I know its just a short I did for a local radio station using simple clips for the show. In short it was ment to be fast and random.

Wonderful!

I smell a series!

ExcellentFriends responds:

I smell a series. A series of 10s!

Thanks brosef

I love it but.. its a stick movie

Alright I gotta review one of these.

You should definetly consider some kind of filming career with those angles, because that sir, takes talent and you have much of it.

Like mentioned before, you've got an excellent sense of lighting and it shows, but drawing stick people is no challenge... Making them look pretty is, yes, but push yourself further and use those stick men as a guide to create something breath taking!

The biggest thing that got me here was the voice acting however... Its good, but theres just something that bugs me about it... Not enough.. mmph to it.. you know?

Overall, 7. It's great, but it's a stick movie, and you have a huge amount of potential. Keep up the good work!
Joe

Get-lost responds:

kantieb0 responds:
